“For my holiday tradition, I always bake cookies with my family [and] my grandma,” Liz Rivero said. “[We bake] sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies.”

Viviana Valdes, Owner, Moda by Pasarela boutique, Miami Lakes

“Definitely champagne to celebrate another year, good health, definitely dessert. That is a must,” Viviana Valdes said. “I really like my mother-in-law’s flan. It’s delicious. I don’t cook, but I love to go to her house. She cooks for the entire family, a lot of food, a lot of leftovers, which is great. And my sister-in-law’s side dishes I love, too. I have to work because it’s the season for retail, but I look forward to being there.”

Kristin Stroleny, Realtor, The Keyes Company Miami Lakes, Miami Lakes

“My holiday tradition always starts with Noche Buena (Christmas Eve),” Kristin Stroleny said. “It’s a big thing for our family. Even though I am German, I was born and raised here and my boyfriend Bryan is Cuban. I’ve adopted a Cuban tradition. We definitely have the Caja China (Chinese box) and do the pig roast, so that’s a must. ... For Christmas, we do the usual. We wake up and exchange gifts. My boyfriend has three kids -- Tyler, Levi and Leia -- so usually Santa comes and delivers presents. The “Elf on the Shelf” is also a must. I also participate in the Jhoslen Angels toy drive at the Keyes office.”
