Kids who love to play soccer can participate in an event called Soccer Shootout, which is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, at the Miami Lakes Library Branch, 6699 Windmill Gate Road. The event, which starts at 11 a.m., is for kids from ages 8 to 12. Jose Marti MAST Academy 6-12 announced that 18 graduates from the class of 2016 were awarded Florida Bright Futures Scholarships.
