Stella is a 7-month-old mix of the Maltese and Shih Tzu breeds. She lives in downtown Miami Lakes with Cassidy and Mason Collier.
Mason Collier is retired from the U.S. Army. The service took the family to four states - Hawaii, Georgia, Ohio and Florida -- and Stella is an able and enthusiastic globe trotter.
“She’s a great traveler and a great side kick,” Cassidy Collier said. “She goes wherever I go.”
And that can include a walk along Main Street or going for a coffee run, said Richard Collier, Mason’s father and doting “grand-dad” to Stella.
The furry little girl is friendly and smart, her mistress said.
“She loves people and little dogs,” Collier said.
And when it comes to monitoring her owners, Stella “seems to speak English, to know what I’m saying,” she said.
