Miami Lakes K-8 Center 5th grade student Joseph David Calles was selected by Mayor Michael Pizzi to serve as an honorary Mayor for a Day on June 10. Calles checked out the Mayor’s chair on the Town Council dias and then visited the mayor’s office. “My experience was fun and exciting,” he said. “I learned about the different departments at Town Hall and was excited to meet new people and the police officers.”

The Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee is offering free monthly field trips for seniors to attend Miami Marlins games this year. Seniors receive free admission to each game courtesy of the Miami Marlins.Transportation is provided to and from Town Hall, 6100 Main Street.
