On Saturday, Mayor Josh Dieguez will host an event at Miami Lakes Town Hall for drivers who wish to renew, replace or reinstate a license.
He is partnering with Miami-Dade Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez on June 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 6601 Main St. Services to be provided include:
- Driver license renewal, replacement or reinstatement
- Renewal of a vehicle registration
- Add or remove Organ Donor and other notifications
- Handicap Permit renewal and Application
- ID, original or renewal
Several forms of identification are required to be served:
U.S. Residents must show one primary form of identification: A birth certificate, valid U.S. passport or naturalization certificate. Legal residents should provide a Green Card (Form I-551) or USCIS approval notices. Those with temporary status should provide a work authorization form (Form I-766); valid I-94 or travel documents with a passport.
Also, proof of Social Security: A Social Security card, a W-2 form, a pay stub, or a 1099 form (no handwritten documents).
And, two proofs of address: A utility bill, lease/mortgage, vehicle registration, bank statement or employer or government correspondence that are dated within 60 days.
Those with a REAL ID-compliant license or ID only need to bring two proofs of address.
