  School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman (center) was honored at Barbara Goleman Senior High School in late March with the dedication of the Perla Tabares Hantman Academy of Excellence Building, the result of a parent-led petition.   Christian Cayon of Miami Lakes was named to the Dean’s list for academic excellence for the Fall 2013 semester at Johns Hopkins University. To be selected for this honor, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in a program of at least 14 credits with 12 graded credits.
