Miami Children's Hospital opens Miami Lakes center

Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, October 5, at its new outpatient center in Miami Lakes. Then Mayor Ceasar Mestre presented Dr. Narendra Kini, president and CEO of Miami Children’s Hospital, with a proclamation dedicating October 5 as Miami Children’s Hospital Day in Miami Lakes.

he MCH Miami Lakes Outpatient Center is now open for pediatric rehabilitation services including physical, occupational and speech-language therapies. 

The first patient to receive rehabilitative care at the Miami Lakes Outpatient Center was seen on Monday, September 30. Other services, which will be offered later this fall, include diagnostic imaging services (x-ray), pediatric urgent care for minor injuries and illnesses and appointments with select sub-specialists. 

All services except urgent care will be provided by appointment during standard office hours.  Urgent care opened on October 15 and will be open 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. 

The MCH Miami Lakes Outpatient Center is located at 15025 N.W. 77 Avenue. The facility is one of nine comprehensive outpatient centers dedicated to exceeding the expectations of children and their families by providing world-class pediatric healthcare within the community.  

The opening of the Miami Lakes Outpatient Center will trigger the relocation of Miami Children’s Rehabilitation Services to this expanded, 32,600 square-foot facility.
