This sweet little lady is Sophie.
Sophie is a seven-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is owned by Gina and John Vargo of Lake Martha.
The couple recently moved back to Miami Lakes with their fur baby.
“We have had Sophie since she was a puppy,” Gina Vargo said.
She said that Sophie and her are inseparable when she’s home, often spending time together on the couch while Vargo reads.
When Sophie isn’t on the couch hanging out with her mom, she can be found out in the backyard.
The move to Miami Lakes has been great for Sophie, who now has a backyard to run around in, after not having one for several years.
“It’s been night and day for her,” Gina said.
Sophie, whose interests include chasing lizards, learning to swim in the lake and eating cookies, also loves helping Gina in the garden - though Sophie does sometimes trample flowers when she sees a lizard.
While she doesn’t hunt the lizards, Gina said that Sophie seems to want to play with them and will give chase.
“She ignores the iguanas [and] she doesn’t bother the ducks,” Gina said.
Sophie is friendly, makes friends with the dogs on her cul-de-sac and is always excited see other four-legged friends and their humans. She can be a little cautious sometimes upon first meetings, but she still loves to see all her neighbors in Lake Martha.
