  Former Miami Lakes resident Lissette Campos-Perez received two Emmy Awards during the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Awards ceremony held November 23 at the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood. Planning/Zoning appeals ordinance on hold pending a workshop

  Miami Lakes council members postponed an ordinance on second reading until January, which would give lawmakers the power to hear planning and zoning appeals instead of applicants taking their cases to circuit court.
