Miami Laker Ramiro Inguanzo was recently appointed to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Secure our Future Advisory Committee.In Nov. 2018, Miami-Dade County voters approved a .75 mill increase in property taxes to improve teacher compensation raises and increase security in schools.Revenues of $240 million generated from the additional tax have come in, Inguanzo said on Sept. 13.School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman appointed Inguanzo...

Spanish Lake Elementary hosted their first movie night under the stars for this school year on Sept. 6. Miami-Date County Commissioner Esteban L. Bovo, Jr. sponsored the event. “Coco,” a Disney movie, was shown on the campus at 7940 NW 194th St. to a large crowd of students and their families.
