A Miami Lakes church is once again inviting local kids to help themselves before the start of the school year.
Elevate Church Miami Lakes is opening its doors - or more specifically, its parking lot - for its annual Summer Love Day.
The event on Saturday, July 25 aims to help local schoolchildren with whatever they might need for the upcoming school year.
Students and their families can pull up in their cars and receive backpacks filled with school supplies as well as prayer and encouragement for individuals and families, offered in English and Spanish.
“Our heart is to serve our neighbors in a practical way while pointing them to the lasting hope found in Christ,” Elevate member Marlyn Carvajal said. “We are expecting families from throughout Miami Lakes and the surrounding communities and would be honored to welcome anyone in need.”
Summer Love Day 2026 takes place Saturday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Elevate Church Miami Lakes, 6250 Miami Lakes Dr.
