Barbara Goleman Senior High School recognizes teachers

Barbara Goleman Senior High School honored two of its educators: Alicia J. Gant, who was named Teacher of the Year, and Emily Dominguez, chosen as Rookie Teacher of the Year.

Gant, shown at left, is the Career and Technical Education Department Chair and Digital Marketing magnet teacher for grades 9 - 12.

Dominguez, shown at right, teaches 9th grade Algebra 1.

She is also a member of the Barbara Goleman Senior High School Class of 2015.

Barbara Goleman Senior High School is at 14100 NW 89th Ave. in Miami Lakes.

There are 2,710 students enrolled in grades 9 - 12.

The school offers seven magnet programs, according to its website.

Programs of study include Forensic Science, Financial Technologies, Information Systems Technology, Law Enforcement Intelligence Studies, Digital Marketing, STEM and Cybersecurity.
