Barbara Goleman's Fine Arts Dept. showcases 'Arts Under the Stars'

The Fine Arts Department at Barbara Goleman Senior High School held a Fine Arts Showcase, “Arts Under the Stars” on May 12, for students, faculty and staff. The showcase consisted of musical performances, dramatic skits, live anime caricatures, on-the-spot painting and ceramic productions, student art exhibitions student poster giveaways and a firstever murals unveiling. 

The event, sponsored and led by art teacher and Fine Arts Department head Charles Humes, along with the participation of teachers Rick Rothal, Zachary Chambers, and Jeanette Galup, had a large turnout. This was the first event of its kind to feature the artistic talents of students at Goleman. 

In addition to the various art activities and productions taking place, two mural unveilings were held in the hallways of the fine arts building. One mural was created by Michael Ruiz del-Vixo and the other by students Carlos Abad, Matthew Bradley and Joshua Diaz.
