Bob Graham Education Center student Kaylen Grass and her Social Studies teacher, Ingy Cruz, traveled to Washington D.C., as a part of a program that celebrates National Constitution Day.
Each year on September 17, the nation celebrates the occasion when schools receive federal funding and federal agencies provide education about the U.S. Constitution.
The event across the country includes student-led readings, political panels, tours of the National Archives and naturalization ceremonies.
The late Democratic Senator Robert C. Byrd was instrumental in creating Constitution Day when he attached an amendment designating the holiday to an appropriations bill.
