Bob Graham Education Center students from Jennifer Batchelder and Maria Easterling’s third grade class participated in an outreach project, Blooming Buddies: Creating Sustainable Gardens in Our Community. The project was sponsored by the school’s PTSA Grant Program. Students, with the help of their families, planted an herb and vegetable garden at Hallandale Christian School.This project helped students develop an understanding of the importance of working together, community involvement, and healthy eating habits. It also helped them apply mathematical skills to real life situations.
