Bicycle Country auditions rescheduled for November 18

Auditions for Bicycle Country by Nilo Cruz have been rescheduled for Monday, November 17, and Tuesday, November 18, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. with possible callbacks. Appointments are recommended but not necessary.

Bicycle Country is the first production of 2015 for the Main Street Players set to open on Friday, February 6 and run through Sunday, March 1. The play will be directed by John Olivera.

The Main Street Players asks that all those auditioning present a dramatic monologue no longer than two minutes and bring a headshot and resume. Also be prepared to read from the production script during the audition. Hispanic or Hispanic-looking actors are needed. A Cuban accent is helpful but not required.

Character Breakdown:

Inez: A female, age 30-40. She is Julio’s home nurse. She is a pillar of steadfastness and femininity.

Julio: A male in his 40’s. He is sullen and craggy. He is recovering from a stroke.

Pepe: A male in his late 20’s to 30’s. He is Julio’s friend and companion.
