On Friday, February 28, State Representative Manny Diaz Jr. (R-Hialeah) presented the staff and students of Bob Graham Education Center in Miami Lakes with a ceremonial flag for earning an “A” grade from the State of Florida.

The school has been recognized as an “A” school for 10 consecutive years. The recognition is even more impressive because the students have risen to the occasion to meet higher standards.

“Bob Graham Education Center has been a model school for some time now,” said Diaz. “It is a great honor to recognize the facility and staff for their hard work with our children.”

Diaz presented the flag to BGEC principal Yecenia Martinez-Lopez who was joined by Miami-Dade School Board chair Perla Tabares Hantman, Miami Lakes Vice Mayor Manny Cid, and Councilmembers Tony Lama, Nelson Rodriguez, Ceasar Mestre and Frank Mingo.
