The Bob Graham Education Center’s Bobcat Dance Team had the opportunity to compete in their first dance competition on Saturday, February 22.  The team competed in the Florida Dance Team Director's Association (F.D.T.D.A.) 2014 State Dance Team Competition.

The competition took place at Barbara Goleman Senior High School and was hosted by the Goleman Jewels Dance Team. The competition consisted of several middle and high schools in a variety of categories ranging from solos, duets, lyrical, kick, open, contemporary, and hip hop.

The Bobcat Dancers competed in the open category with an 80's songs mix routine. The Bobcats won a first place trophy in the 2014 State Dance Team Championship and a plaque for excellence in their routine. The dancers and their coach, Mayri Martinez, look forward to the next competition.
