Candidate forum for special election set for March 7

There are five candidates seeking to win Seat 6 on the Miami Lakes council dais, and the public will get to hear their platforms during a forum on March 7.

Attorney and former Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas will moderate the panel; the town is hosting the event.

The candidates in the Special Election to be held April 9 are Hector Abad, Esther Colon; Bryan Morera; Nelson Rodriguez and John Rogger.

The forum will be held at Town Hall from 6:30 p.m. until about 8 p.m.
