The 19th annual Swinging Fore Charity Golf Tournament, which benefits Catholic Hospice based in Miami Lakes, has been scheduled for Friday, October 9, at Shula’s Golf Club’s Senator Course.
Monies raised from the tournament help Catholic Hospice provide treatment to patients who are unable to afford services. Funds also help grant patients final wishes through the organization’s Wishes Granted program, provide pet assistance through the Pet Peace of Mind program, and send grieving children to a weekend-long bereavement camp held twice each year.
A new element has been added to the tourney this year, the Robert Alt Virtual Golf Experience, a new VIP area for non-golfers who wish to spend the day networking on the course in an air conditioned tent complete with lounges, lunch, bar, domino tournament, virtual golf tournament and more.
