Chamber and friends golf for good

The Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce held its third annual charity golf tournament at the Miami Springs Golf & Country Club.
Twenty-one teams participated in the tournament. Money raised will benefit the chamber’s scholarship fund for students who attend Miami Dade College and Ana G. Mendez University, as well as students from Barbara Goleman Senior High School.
Participating team the ARC of South Florida donated an additional $3,000 to the fund. The day concluded with a post tournament dinnerand raffle drawings.
Winners this year were the First Origin Mortgage Lenders team; they received a Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle engraved with “Champion”. Marcelo Rodriguez and Anthony Gomez of Ashes 2 Ashes mobile cigar shop won the closest-to-the-pin competition, and Julio De Varona of CAO Bakery & Café won a foursome at the Miami Lakes Golf Club in the Beat the Broadcaster competition.
Juan Gonzalez of Hemisphere Title Company won $600 in the 50/50 raffle.
