Feb. 3 Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival. Sip, stroll and eat at the 6th Annual Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival to benefit the Miami Lakes Town Foundation. This is a 21+ event. Rain or shine.

Feb. 5 Food Truck Mondays. Check out a variety of food truck offerings during this monthly event at Norman and Jean Reach Park, hosted by Miami Food Truck Events. Enjoy music and bounce houses, too. Norman and Jean Reach Park, 7895 NW 176 St., Palm Springs North. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Feb. 8 Heart health lecture by Amavita Cardiac Health.  Presented by the Elderly Affairs Committee, Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St., 11 a.m. Free.

Feb. 10 Mardi Gras Community Bike Ride. Presented by the Neighborhood Improvement Committee. Wear colorful costumes, feathered masks and decorate your ride to bring the Big Easy to Miami Lakes. Depart from Town Hall, 6601 Main St. Register at TOML.Eventbrite.com. Check in at Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. Free.

Feb. 14 Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. Join the chamber for their monthly gathering. Vice Mayor Tony Fernandez and Councilman Ray Garcia are the scheduled speakers. Feb. 16 to March 3 “Christiana Lysistrata” by Vinecia Coleman. Join the Main Street Players for their second show of the 2024 season for this modern twist on a Greek comedy Lysistrata. Main Street Playhouse 6812 Main Street. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Feb. 17 Skate Miami Lakes. Grab your skateboard, rollerblades, roller skates or scooter and come out to the monthly Skate Miami Lakes program in  conjunction with nonprofit organization SkateFree. Feb. 17 Black History Celebration: Motown Revue. The Cultural Affairs Committee welcomes the public to the auditorium of the Miami Lakes Middle School, 6425 Miami Lakeway North to see performances of cover songs from the Temptations, Tina Turner, The Supremes and Michael Jackson. 7 p.m. Free.  

Feb 20 Senior Bingo Luncheon. Join the Elderly Affairs Committee for its popular bingo event. Seniors 60+ can enjoy a meal, fun and prizes. Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave.

Feb. 27 or Feb. 29 HELP (Health Emergency Life Protection) class. Join Miami-Dade Fire Rescue for the Health Emergency Life Protection class at the Miami Lakes Youth Center. Learn basic lifesaving skills such as adult and pediatric hands-only CPR; early stroke recognition; stopping the bleed and blocked airway emergencies for adults, children and infants. Interactive lecture and hands-on skills practice. This is awareness level training with minimal physical activity for people without medical backgrounds.
