Nov. 3 Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. Learn more about local businesses during this annual event that attracts more than 100 companies from banking and financial services to health care and more. Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, 6842 Main St. 5 p.m. Free.    

Nov. 5 Skate Miami Lakes. Kids ages 8-to-16 will have an opportunity to learn how to skate from Skate Free at the town’s new portable skate park. The event is open to all ability levels. Miami Lakes Picnic Park East, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. 9 a.m. Free.         

Nov. 6 43rd Annual Miami Lakes Veterans Parade. Presented in part by the Town of Miami Lakes and its Veterans Committee.Come out and celebrate your hometown heroes in this annual parade through the heart of Miami Lakes. 10 a.m. Free. 

Nov. 9 Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon.  Miami Lakes Hotel on Main, 6842 Main St.  Speakers are Stuart Wyllie, president and chief executive officer of The Graham Companies, and Andrea Graham Rechichi, vice president of corporate relations for the firm. Nov. 10 Schools Showcase presented by the Educational Advisory Board. Learn about area schools, programs and resources for grades PreK - 12. 6 p.m., Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 NW 87th Ave., Free. 

Nov. 12 Jazz in the Park. Presented by the Cultural Affairs Committee, the annual event brings singer Nicole Henry to Veterans Park for a  night of jazz. Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave. 7 p.m. Free.

Nov. 19 Super Smash Bros. Tournament. Kids ages 11 - 16 can grab their Nintendo Switch controllers and participate in the first Super Smash Bros. tournament at The Spot.
