Several hundred parents and families packed the auditorium to enjoy an evening of entertaining performances from talented students of the Town’s popular community projects during the Miami Lakes annual Community Recital on May 30 at Barbara Goleman Senior High School.

The recital featured performances by the ballet, jazz, martial arts, senior Tai Chi, adult Yoga, and adult line dancing classes. The crowd showed their appreciation with loud applause and standing ovations.

More than 150 students participated and displayed the skills that they learned over the course of the year participating in town sponsored programs, which are provided in conjunction with Hialeah Miami Lakes Adult and Community Education, and Miami Dade College School of Community Education.

“It was such a pleasure to see all of the great talent showcase at the recital,” said Mayor Wayne Slaton. “Special thanks to all the teachers, students and Town staff that worked on this great event.”
