The Corvo & Calas law firm’s 20th Annual Pajamas and Books Drive for abused children is underway.

“In the spirit of the holidays, this drive provides new pajamas and new books to children in need, to provide comfort and warmth,” Attorney Perla Calas said in a media release.

The firm is accepting donated sleepwear and reading materials before Dec. 13.

“In order to assist more children, we are asking the community to join us by providing them with a comforting bedtime routine,” Attorney Lourdes Corvo said.

The law firm works with Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services to distribute the donated clothing and books.

Kids in domestic shelters in the county may have left home during emergency situations and may not be able to take belongings with them.

The law firm said over two decades, it has donated 4,000 sets of pajamas and 1,500 books.

It will accept donations Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 14750 NW 77th Court, Suite 300 in Miami Lakes.
