Several Miami Lakes council members participated in the Principal for a Day event on November 19 at local schools.
Mayor Michael Pizzi and Councilmember Ceasar Mestre were co-principals at Bob Graham Education Center; Vice Mayor Tim Daubert was principal for a day at Miami Lakes Educational Center; Councilmembers Nelson Rodriguez and Tony Lama shared the responsibility of acting principal at Miami Lakes K-8 Center; and Councilmember Manny Cid was principal for a day at Barbara Goleman Senior High.
Principal for a Day is an annual tradition that engages business and community leaders as acting principals in an effort to build long-term partnerships that benefit both the students and the community.
