Miami Lakes Councilmember Frank Mingo recently completed the Florida League of Cities and the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government’s Institute for Elected Municipal Officials Program (IEMO). The educational program is specifically designed for newly elected officials and those with less than one term in office.
“Attending the seminar was a great learning experience and I am looking forward to attending the advanced course next year,” Mingo said.
The primary objective of the IEMO program is to provide elected municipal officials with an intensive academic program that will assist them in effectively meeting the requirements of their elected role. The Program offers a comprehensive overview of Florida municipal government and is presented by a faculty of top professionals in the field.
