County Commissioner Sen. René Garcia meets constituents at BB’s Bakehouse

      Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sen. René Garcia represents District 13 which includes Miami Lakes. He hosted one of his regular ‘Cafecito con René’ gatherings on Feb. 24 at BB’s Bakehouse on Main Street.

      Among Garcia’s constitutents who joined him for coffee and pastries were candidates running in Miami Lakes municipal elections. Former Vice Mayor Nelson Rodriguez and attorney Bryan Morera were there; they are among five candidates competing for council Seat 6 in the special election to be held April 9. Also present was Realtor J.C. Fernandez, who is seeking council Seat 3 in the Nov. 5 general election. In the crowd and running in November was retired lawman Mario Knapp, a candidate for Miami-Dade County Sheriff. 

      Members of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Business Networking International also chatted with Garcia.
