The 7th annual Miami Lakes Rocks! Music Festival has been scheduled for Saturday, February 13, at Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
The popular event, sponsored by the Town’s Youth Activities Task Force, was created to provide an avenue of artistic expression for town youth, promoting cultural and community spirit.
Auditions are open for college age and younger musicians, and are open to bands and individuals that perform live music. Performers must play a musical instrument; recorded music will not be accepted.
Those who wish to audition are encouraged to submit video recordings of up to 2 songs via email to YATF@miamilakes-fl.gov by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5. All bands of all genres are encourage to participate.
