William Dean Gross of Miami Lakes and Pembroke Pines died unexpectedly Nov. 23 of natural causes, according to the T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home.
He was 59-years-old.
Gross grew up in Miami Lakes, graduated from Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School and attended the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, his family said in a published obituary.
Gross was a certified public accountant who worked in accounting and insurance.
He rooted for the Gators, was a gourmet cook and loved deep sea fishing, the family said.
A dependable friend, a favorite place was when his Golden Retrievers Cali and Cabo were at his side.
He was married 33 years to Rebecca Rae Gross, who survives him, as does his mother, Nancy Murray Gross of Miami Lakes; sister, Debbie Margaret Gross of Weston; brother, Daniel Thomas Gross and his wife Laura of Tallahassee, and nieces and nephews Kyle, Savannah, Casey, Conner, Christina, Amber and Lainie.
His father Donald William Gross died in 2007.
