EAB seeks student representative

     Students looking to make a difference can apply to become the Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board’s student representative. 

     The board of volunteers work with schools to expand educational programs and activities in town. 

     The student representative shares ideas and feedback from students with the board to improve its programs. It is a non-voting role. 

     Applicants must be enrolled in a Miami Lakes area school; attend monthly Education Advisory Board meetings; read, research and obtain answers related to board agenda items and provide information about the interests of students. 

     They must also maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0, not have an “F” as a final grade or a conduct grade below a “C”.
