Finance organization recognizes Miami Lakes

 The Government Finance Officers Association awarded the Town of Miami Lakes the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence after reviewing its annual comprehensive financial report.

     Finance Director Kay Grant leads the department.

     The report was for fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024. It is the 13th time the Finance Department has received the recognition, the town said.

     “This award reflects the Town’s strong commitment to accountability, transparency and sound financial management,” said Town Manager Edward Pidermann. “Receiving this recognition for the 13th consecutive year is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our Finance Department and the entire team responsible for preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.”

     The organization also bestowed an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement to the Finance Department, the town said.
