Miami Lakes Optimist Club is accepting registrations for NFL Youth Flag Football through Aug. 23rd.
Play is for children ages 5 – 18. The season is from Sept. 28 – Dec. 14.
Cost is $175. Registrations after Aug. 17 incur a $15 late fee.
Parents should submit birth certificates when registering.
Athletes get an NFL FLAG jersey, shorts, socks and flags.
Mandatory tryouts will happen at Optimist Park, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.: Aug. 26, 6U and 12U; Aug. 27, 8U and 14U and Aug. 28, 10U and high school.
Team coaches will run practices on weeknights at Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6411 NW 162nd St.
Games will be played Saturdays at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 NW 87th Ave.
