Miami Lakes will offer a free fishing clinic and contest in July at Miami Lakes Optimist Park Marina, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
The clinic will provide attendees with tips on proper catch and release techniques while the contest provides a competitively fun way to spend a summer Saturday with the family and an opportunity to win prizes for the largest fish and the most fish.
All lifejackets, fishing poles and bait will be provided free of charge.
The Fishing Clinic is set for Saturday, July 11, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The Fishing Contest is set for Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.
