The Giving Gators charitable organization celebrated 70 volunteers in its Groceries4Seniors program with a luncheon at the City of Hialeah Educational Academy, or COHEA.

The school also hosted the volunteers who sorted, packed and delivered bags of groceries to over 1,000 homebound elders and families in Hialeah and Miami Lakes during a 14-week shutdown in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, said Daylin Garcia, founder of Giving Gators.

During a May 22nd luncheon, Giving Gators gave volunteers certificates of appreciation for their hard work and dedication, Garcia said.
