Perla Tabares Hantman, chairman of the Miami-Dade County School Board, joined students, teachers, faculty and community members to celebrate “Bike to School Day” at Lawton Chiles Middle School on May 12. She is joined here by LCMS principal Nelson Izquierdo and members of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Police Bike Patrol Unit. “Bike to School Day” events help raise awareness to create safer routes for bicycling and to emphasize the important of physical activity among children.
