The Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High Model United Nations (UN) students competed at the Miami International Conference for the Simulation of United Nations (MICSUN) held at the University of Miam on April 18. Top schools across the state and around the world participated.
Danny Ramirez and Jessica Duque led the way for the HML team winning Best Delegate in their final competitions as high school students. Marvin Espinoza and Gabriella Torres won honorable mention in their committee. Danny Hernandez and Marina Cepeda also placed and won honorable mention in their respective committees.
Model United Nations provides a forum for addressing global concerns in a real world context and the HML team has placed in every competition they participated in this year.
