The Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently concluded its Spring 2014 Flag Football season under league commissioner Javier Zapata. Over 100 children participated in the league this season, receiving trophies at the league's closing ceremony event on Saturday, April 12 at Royal Oaks Park.

These businesses are based in Miami Lakes and their sponsorship exemplifies a strong commitment to the community and the Town's youth sports programs. Registration for the next season of youth flag football will begin on Saturday, August 2. The league will begin in September and welcomes boys and girls ages 5 to 15.
