Three students won lots of back to school gear after competing in the Mayor’s Virtual Game Night on Aug. 30.  Parents registered kids on Eventbrite to play an online trivia game called Kahoot! They competed in three age groups spanning 5 to 17 to win prizes. The youngest first place winner took home a free day at My Gym in Miami Lakes, a backpack with school supplies courtesy of local charitable group Giving Gators and headphones from Layer 8 Solutions. Two winners in the other age groups took home $50 gift cards as well as backpacks and headphones. Shown in the photo above, left to right, are Megan Garcia, a Barbara Goleman Senior High School student and volunteer with Giving Gators; Amanda Saltiel-Ayra, owner of event sponsor My Gym; Mayor Manny Cid; Daylin Garcia and Emily Garcia, both volunteers with Giving Gators. The Garcia girls are Daylin Garcia’s daughters.  Photo courtesy of Giving Gators.
