KinderCare of Miami Lakes will host a Community Social from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, at 8001 Oak Lane in Business Park West.
The back-to-school event will feature tours for prospective parents to see the recently refreshed school, and an opportunity to meet the center’s teachers who will have activities going on in each of the classrooms from KinderCare’s advanced curriculum for all ages from Infants through Pre-Kindergarten (VPK).
There will also be a bounce house, face painting, a kid’s Fitness Hour, a DJ, food trucks, and special guest, Billy the Marlin.
KinderCare of Miami Lakes is a nationally accredited facility and has been located next to Miami Lakes Picnic Park West since 1988 when it became the first childcare operation within a business park in South Florida.
Longtime Miami Lakes resident Dawn Chapman has worked at the school since 1992 and has served as the center’s director since 1999.
KinderCare of Miami Lakes is currently enrolling for the new school year which begins August 18. The center accepts children from Infants through VPK, as well as after-school children from Bob Graham Education Center and Miami Lakes K-8 Center.
