Lawton Chiles Middle School Culinary Arts students win 3rd place in Baking Contest

Lawton Chiles Middle School students competed at INNOVATE 2025 Career and Technical Education Challenge held at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus on Dec. 6.
The students -- Maria Perez-Montiel, Geandy O’Reilly and Ahnio Betancourt -- made history as the only middle school representing the North Region, the school said.
Facing off against high school competitors, LCMS students showcased their creativity, technical expertise and teamwork to earn 3rd Place.
The kids participate in their school’s Career and Technical Education programs.
