Lien Amnesty ends March 27

Government Monday, March 2, 2015

There is still time to apply for the Town’s Code Enforcement Lien Amnesty Program, an incentive to property owners with outstanding liens to bring their property into compliance.

Both residential and commercial property owners are eligible to apply for as much as an 85 percent reduction in the amount owed on their lien.

To see if you are a property owner with a lien, log onto the Town’s website at www.miamilakes-fl.gov and click on “Search for Violations.” The case would be indicated as “LIEN” status in the system.

The deadline to apply is March 27 and will be strictly enforced with no exceptions. Applications have a non-refundable $70 application fee and can be submitted to the Town of Miami Lakes Neighborhood Services Department at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street. For more information, visit LienAmnesty@miamilakes-fl.gov, or call 305-512-7130.
