The Lady Warriors 5v5 soccer team advanced to the National Copa Coca-Cola Tournament in Los Angeles after recently winning the Miami regional tournament.
Led by Miami Lakes resident Madison Precht, the Lady Warriors soccer team was crowned champions of the Miami Copa Coca-Cola tournament last month, and will join 400 national teams for boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 15 in March on the west coast to battle for the national championship.
The winners from each area tournament won an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles during Easter weekend, where winners will have the opportunity to play soccer in Brazil.
“We didn’t have time to practice 5v5 formations or strategy but we came together when it counted to win the tournament.” Precht said. “We are friends on and off the field and play other sports together as well.”
