Miami-Dade County Animals Services is waiving adoption fees for large dogs over 35 pounds from now through April 30. All large dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go to a forever home. Adopters are responsible for a $27 license fee.
Adoption fees for dogs over 35 pounds will also be waived during this period at all off-site pet adoption events hosted by Animal Services.
“Daylight Savings Time is here and longer days mean more opportunities to get outdoors and exercise. A big dog makes a great training partner to exercise with,” said Alex Muñoz, director of Miami-Dade Animal Services.
