The Miami-Dade County School Board and Schools Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho will form a strategic partnership with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Miami-Dade Branch, the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (HBIF) and the Florida Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC) focusing on economic and business development, job creation and contracts for Miami-Dade businesses.

“Miami-Dade County Public Schools is proud to work with these organizations and provide potential contract opportunities to local businesses on construction, goods and services and the recent voter approved $1.2 billion bond projects to renovate schools and upgrade technology,” said Carvalho. “This partnership is a win-win as we work to increase the number of small, minority and women-owned businesses in our local community.”
