Wall Street phenom David J. Rivero, who oversees the management of two energy solutions companies with utilizing innovative green technology to improve the environment, is the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s first guest speaker for the new year.
Rivero, president and CEO of Gibraltar Group of Companies, will discuss his knowledge of the two companies he founded under the principles of utilizing the green technology during the event, which is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Don Shula’s Hotel.
Gibraltar Energy Solutions, in particular, employs the full array of green technology to assist those who manage liabilities and consume electric power.
In the case of a municipality or not for profit, lowering operational expenses helps maintain or increase services to the community.
Coming from Wall Street, Rivero managed planning and financing services for mid market companies in different industries, where his objective was to provide solutions to increase profitability.
Rivero translated that model to the Gibraltar approach: Effective management of the physical plant and the balance sheet.
Rivero will be discussing some of the ways businesses, cities, and non-profit entities can leverage green technologies to provide a host of benefits ranging from increased profitability, creating a competitive advantage in the marketplace, lowering the cost of operations, and doing something good for the environment.
He will also discuss some of the physical constraints associated with green technology.
The Chamber’s networking starts at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at noon.
Deadline to reserve space at the luncheon is 2 p.m. on Friday, January 9. Cost is $30 for members and their guests who reserve, $35 for members and guests who don’t reserve and $40 for non members.
