Main Street Players present Stage Kiss on April 22

Stage Kiss, a hilarious comedy by Sarah Ruhl, a Pulitzer Prize finalist for her acclaimed The Clean House, will hit the stage at Miami Lakes’ local theatre, the Main Street Playhouse at 6766 Main Street, from April 22 to May 15, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

The play, directed by Marina Pareja of FIU and produced by Dennis Lyzniak, is the story of She and He, two actors in their mid-forties, who are unknowingly reunited in a very bad stage play after a twenty year separation, with She being married.

After sharing numerous on-stage kisses, their off-stage relationship is rekindled which throws their loved ones for a loop. In a comedic twist to this love story, despite the efforts of the playwright and director, who is desperate for a hit show, the 1930’s play is awful. Stage Kiss is a theatregoer’s delight of a play.
