Main Street Players' Stage Kiss opens to rave reviews; runs to May 15

Main Street Playhouse was filled with smiles and laughter as opening weekend crowds fell in love with Stage Kiss, the second show of the 2016 season.

The cleverly written romantic comedy by Sarah Ruhl illustrates how easily the lines can become blurred when onstage chemistry translates into offstage romance. When two actors who have romantic history are both cast in a show, anything can happen.

The talented cast of Larry Chidsey, Sofi Sassone, Darren Blaney, Stephanie Dyane, Brian McCormack, Rei Capote and Ron Torres bring the story to life and draws the audience into the zany world of backstage farce with hilarious results. “A kiss is just a kiss” …or is it?

Stage Kiss will run two more weekends, through May 15, at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mainstreetplayers.com or at the door. Standard tickets are $25, and discounted tickets for seniors, students, and military personnel are $20. For more information, visit www.mainstreetplayers.com.
