Mater Lakes Future Business Leaders to compete in Orlando

     Mater Lakes Academy Middle and High School’s Future Business Leaders of America club is to compete at a state leadership conference in Orlando in March.

    The students performed successfully against 11 charter and private high schools in Miami-Dade County during December and January to be able to represent District 25 next month. They succeeded with their online submissions and test results in numerous categories, Mater Lakes said.

     The Bears took home 120 medals, including 44 1st place and 59 2nd place, said the school, which is at 17300 NW 87th Ave. in Hialeah.

     Junior Gabriela Garcia was chosen as District 25 historian, while sophomore Any Doval will serve as reporter.

    Advisor Giovanni Lorenzo said in a statement provided by the school that he was “proud of these future business leaders” whose hard work “achieved great results.”
