Memorial Day ceremony set for Miami Lakes

     The Town of Miami Lakes will observe Memorial Day on May 26 at the Mary Collins Community Center.

     The federal holiday is a day of remembrance for those who lost their lives while serving in the armed forces.

     Veterans Committee Chair William Perez will lead the ceremony that is open to the public and begins at 10 a.m. 

     Ria Monae will sing the national anthem, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Honor Guard will present the colors and a Hialeah Gardens High School student will perform taps on a trumpet or bugle.

     The Mary Collins Community Center is at 15151 NW 82nd Ave.
